If I had to summarize this book, I'd say that the author is seeking to prepare one for a successful career by showing the reader that many challenges are self generated; that the mind is the greatest foe, and how to overcome it.Solid read, geared towards the new producer, or those interested in doing so.
This is not a book on technical writing of music but it is a great one for your mindset. This is written for music production but can the information given can be used for than music. It is just what I needed to hear and I think it will help me take my music making to the next level
Fun book to give you encouragement along your music producing journey! Chris has in-depth insight of the electronic music scene. He also feels free to get vulnerable about his own music journey which allows for the reader to feel more at home on there journey.
Definitely worth reading. There are some helpful tips in it to keep you going with music as long as you choose not to give up on on what matters the most you and your music.
This book is ok but not great. Very light reading. Only touches on some good habits but it does not provide any insights that are enlightening for a working musicians or aspiring producer.
Finally a book that speaks to the psychology of making music! I would very much like to read a part 2 to this.
Very helpful in many levels.I saw myself in a lot of the examples used as references. Will definitely put in practice some of the techniques offered in this book
Not very specific but helpful to brush off negativity. Could possibly provide more exercises as creative solutions to composing and writing
