Fans of a serial killer who thought he was misunderstood.James is the son of the Sheriff. Since his mother was a victim of the serial killer, neither of them look fondly on a recent newspaper article suggesting the serial kill, known as the Ripper, was back.Abigail finds the timing a bit concerning, since James returns about the same time as the rumors of the killer.Some of the suspects in this recent murder turn out to have been old friends of her mother. Surely a good reason to have less to do with mom Sally, and more to do with getting to know Granny.Layers of love and loss, and creepy fascination with the macabre, are tangled with this case - along with a handsome and charming Great Dane, and a pretty little Sh Tzu.Another fun, if somewhat grizzly and disturbing, read for fans of pet cozies -- and happily now on Kindle Unlimited!I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

The investigation is revitalized when the sheriff's son, who is the private investigator, returns to help his father. More is going on than it appears!If you enjoyed the adventures in Wallace Point in the previous book of the series, you will enjoy more of the same in this one. While you don’t have to read book one to understand this one--the author does give little tidbits about the previous story--I definitely recommend the first book as well so you get to know the quirky world of Wallace Point as well as understand a bit more about the relationship between Abigail and her recently discovered grandmother.Oh, and I totally want a Book Cafe in my town! It is an awesome concept for a coffee house!I received a free advance copy of this book, but that has not affected my review.
